Federal tax status

What we do not claim

RRHARTS is a Michigan nonprofit corporation. IRS 501(c)(3) recognition is pending. RRHARTS does not currently represent contributions as tax-deductible unless applicable federal recognition or an approved fiscal-sponsor arrangement is in effect.

RRHARTS is a Michigan nonprofit corporation. That is a state-level status and it is real. Federal 501(c)(3) recognition is a separate process, and until the IRS issues a determination letter — or an approved fiscal-sponsor arrangement is in effect — this website will not describe contributions as tax-deductible, and will not assert tax-exempt status in its structured data.

If you are considering a gift and the tax treatment matters to you, please ask us directly rather than assuming from anything on this site.
